Unfollow Ninja is designed to help users manage and organize their Instagram following list. This Privacy Policy explains what information is collected, why it is collected, how it is stored, and how users can request deletion.
Information we collect
- Device identifier: a random machine ID generated by the extension. This is used to manage license activations and enforce the free usage limit.
- License information: license key, license status, activation count, and purchase email when a Pro license is activated.
- Free usage information: free usage count and the start time of the current usage window.
- Extension settings: selected language, risk profile, protected users list, and feature preferences.
- Local history: recent removal history, including usernames and timestamps, stored locally in the browser for the user’s own review and export.
Information we do not collect
- We do not ask for, collect, or store your Instagram password.
- We do not read private messages.
- We do not sell personal information to third parties.
- We do not use the collected information for advertising or unrelated profiling.
How we use information
The information is used only to operate the extension, validate Pro licenses, enforce the free usage limit, prevent license abuse, provide support, and improve reliability.
Where data is stored
- License and free usage data are stored in Supabase through Netlify Functions.
- Payments and license generation are handled by Gumroad.
- Some settings and history are stored locally in the browser using Chrome extension storage.
Chrome Web Store Limited Use
The use of information collected by Unfollow Ninja complies with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Information is used only for user-facing extension functionality and is not sold, transferred, or used for unrelated purposes.
Third-party services
Unfollow Ninja uses Gumroad for payments and license key generation, Netlify for API hosting, and Supabase for license and usage storage. These services may process information necessary to provide the product.
Data retention and deletion
Local data can be removed by uninstalling the extension or clearing extension data in the browser. To request deletion of server-side license or usage data, contact us at support.unfollowninja@gmail.com.
